How we can help you

Despite the great work that our hospitals and hospices do, there are many things that can make a difference that the NHS cannot provide and these can only be funded by charitable donations – things that make a big difference to the quality of a sick child’s life and memories that help support parents’ through difficult times. We aim to do this by providing grants from the funds we raise to support sick children/young people up to the age of 19, and their families from all over the UK. We are a grant making trust consisting of seven Trustees and many fantastic volunteers.

Providing funds

We provide funds for: Specialist medical, educational and recreational equipment to benefit the many, or a specific item for an individual that could make life a little more comfortable for them. Travel, parking and accommodation costs when children are hospitalised, or have lots of appointments, particularly when far away from home. Short breaks away, holidays and days out, which means that families spend precious time together, after time apart. Treats for terminally ill children.

If you would like to apply for a grant please download our application form below and follow the instructions on the form or contact us directly for one.

Please provide as much information as you can with your application, on the medical condition, how it impacts on the child’s and family life, financial difficulties etc. Also enclose copies any doctor’s letters or reports, and/or a letter from a care team member or social worker would also be helpful. This helps us process the application as quickly as possible. Other organisations/medical professionals can apply on your behalf with your consent.
